Patrice Moore

I live on a twenty-acre homestead in north Idaho with my wonderful husband of nineteen years and two daughters (ages 11 and 14). Between milking cows, gathering eggs, weeding the garden, and trying to keep the young fruit trees alive, I get up at ungodly hours (often 3:30 a.m.) to write. We have a home business and I homeschool our girls, so getting up early is the only quiet time I have.

I am published with The Wild Rose Press in contemporary romance. Saving Grace was my first book to hit the stands, followed by What Happened in Abbity Park, Merry's Christmas, and The Making of a Country Doctor.

I'm crazy over books and we own over four thousand of them on subjects ranging from astronomy to zoology. I have a master's degree in biology but don't use it much (actually, I don't use it at all anymore). I prefer to write both fiction and nonfiction, and be a full-time mom to my kids. I love to write, and often write when I really should be doing something more productive…like cooking dinner.

Much of my writing deals with rural themes. Country living continues to fascinate me, even when I'm crouched next to a cow milking in zero degree weather.

I am a member of RWA and our local chapter (IECRWA), where I hold the office of Treasurer. Visit my website at patricemoore.com.
