We are the Inland Empire Chapter (#63) of the Romance Writers of America--a non-profit organization that supports romance and women's fiction writers. Our chapter supports the writers in the heart of the Inland Northwest, including eastern Washington and western Idaho. Most of our members live in and around the cities of Spokane and Coeur d'Alene. We are fortunate to live in a scenic area of natural beauty with lakes and rivers, mountains and meadows, trees and flowers.

Our Meetings
Our chapter usually meets the second Saturday of every month. We welcome visitors, please see our events page for more information.

Our Retreats
Our retreats are for chapter members only, although sometimes we include other chapters by special invitation. To find out more, see our retreat page.

Our Conferences
The Power of the Pen fiction writing conference is scheduled for March 7, 2015. For more information, please visit our conference page.

More About Us
We are a small, supportive group of authors, male and female, who gather together in friendly and informative meetings. Some of us are published; some of us are USA Today and New York Times Best Sellers. Some are working toward that first sale. Some of us also are journalists, poets, and non-fiction authors.

Our purpose is:

  • to promote creative excellence in romance and women's fiction.
  • to foster professional growth and support for our writers.
  • to provide an atmosphere of fellowship and networking.

Attend one of our meetings where speakers and other writers will inspire you. Attend our conferences to network with other writers, be inspired by our keynote speakers, and learn more about the writing craft and business through innovative workshops.

If you have questions, you might find the answers on our FAQ page, or else email any of our officers listed on the Contact Us page.

Please take a few minutes to explore our website, or better yet . . . come see us in person! We look forward to meeting you!
