Welcome!

We are Inland Empire Chapter #63, a non-profit organization associated with Romance Writers of America® national organization.

IECRWA is located in the heart of the Inland Northwest: in eastern Washington and western Idaho, in and around the cities of Spokane and Coeur d'Alene. We are fortunate to live in a scenic area of natural beauty with lakes and rivers, mountains and meadows, trees and flowers.

Our chapter usually meet the second Saturday of every month. We welcome visitors, please see our events page for more information if you would like to join us.

We are a small, supportive group of romance authors, male and female, who gather together in friendly and informative meetings. Some of us are published; some are working toward that first sale. Some of us also are journalists, poets, and non-fiction authors. We meet in each other's homes, with encouragement and humor. Visit the Latest News! page for information about recent member publication credits and our author bio links on the members page for complete publishing credentials for each member.

Our purpose is:

  • to promote creative excellence in romantic and women's fiction.
  • to foster professional growth and support for our writers.
  • to provide an atmosphere of fellowship and networking with other romance writers.

Our meeting schedule includes various speakers and program offerings to assist writers as they learn and grow in their craft. We are especially proud of our writing Retreats and Conferences.

If you have questions, you might find the answers on our FAQ page, or else email any of our officers or committee members listed on the Contact Us page.

Please take a few minutes to explore our website, or better yet . . . come see us in person! We look forward to meeting you!
